World leaders welcome new Iraqi government

The "Unity Government"....

What a name for Iraq's "first" constitutionaly elected government.
How much "unity" is there when there still hundreds of people being killed every day, most of the nation's military forces are still fully entrenched in combat mode in their country and the "middle class" of Iraqi citizens are so fearful for their lives that a lot of them are trying to leave Iraq?

Dosen't sound very unified to me.
But then again I am not a government politician so what do I know??

A link to a CNN story where world leaders talk about the positive things going on in Iraq. From what I read in the missive, I do not feel all that positive for the future of this government.

And who are we kidding anyway?
Everyone knows who the real government is in Iraq.
Amerika....

My thought (or at least one of them for today) on this is that things over in ancient Summeria will get much much worse before they get better....if they get better. And does anyone really believe that the Iraqi people are actually in charge of this new government. I remain cautous about the whole thing. As I heard one high level government pol. say the other day..."For every two steps forward, they seem to take two steps backwards".

Have a good day.
