A "Once in a Century" Flood takes it's Toll-May 17, 2006

Well finally the rains have subsided for the people that have been endured this once in a century flooding of the New England area.

Homes, bridges, dams, roads, railroad embankments all washed away in different towns in New Hampshire and Mass.

Some say that all of this is part of "Global Warming" but others say it was just a freak of nature with a few different weather systems converging all at once to create this massive diluge.

The water is still pouring through the streets but according to the weather channel, the water is receeding slowly. Now comes the clean up and rebuilding of the more than 500 roads that were washed away and the numerous homes and buildings that were flooded.

My thoughts are with these folks out there in the East.
