The Biggest Animals Ever to have Lived...

.....were not the dinasours, even though that is what most people think.

Rather they are an animal that is still part of our contemporary civilization (at least for the time being).

They call all of the ocean waters of our planet their home and they are the biggest mammal that has ever existed on our planet.

Some people even think that their intelligence level is highly evolved and there are a few who even gander to surmise that these creatures may be smarter than even us humans......

To learn more about this utterly captivating creature, click on the link below which has a lot of good information on just about everything anyone might wish to know concerning this gigantic mammal.

The Blue Whale is an amazing creature. And to think that these majestic beings were almost hunted to extinction by humanity before a ban on this hunting was put into effect around 1965, a year or so before I was born is beyond my comprehension. How awful that would have been.

Now it seems a new colony of these wondrous animals have been found off the South American coast and even though the ban on hunting these friends of ours is still in effect, various enviromental concerns could lead to some of their deaths. Shipping and tourism...both man made concerns.

I find it amazing that things that we as humans do could possibly cause the end of life to the "Biggest Animals" that have ever graced our planet. But this could very well happen.

What a shame that would be.
And if something like this were to happen, would we feel remourse??
Some of us maybe, but most of us would go on with our lives as if nothing has happened.

I am beginning to see all the good things the orginization "Green-Peace" and others like it are trying to do.

Read on for an article that talks about these amazing animals and how a new colony of them have been found and are being endangered by our own human stupidity......

I hope one day to see one of these Blue Whales up close and in person. The day I do will be one of the coolest of my life.....
