Warning-Worm hits Yahoo! Mail users

The world's largest email provider(200 milliom mail accounts) has gotten a new worm that infects user's computers by merely reading the email message.

But common good practice for everyone should be to never open an email from someone you do not know....without trying to first find out who the email address belongs to. And second thing-even if the email is from someone you know.....and the heading is a little strange...wait to open the email and call that person and ask them if they sent you a specific email.

I have a yahoo mail address but I do not use it for anything but registering for web sites and things. I check it maybe once a month. Better to stick with your ISP or with Gmail.

They are calling this worm "Yamanner" and this article gives a little more background on it. I tried linking to other sites that talk about this latest web menace but none of the sites would come up for some odd reason.

The site above also has a link to what is being called a new "mystery virus" that is invading the web.
Time to do some more reading......
