I was contemplating taking a 4 or 5 day vacation to see some friends and relations in SW Florida this weekend coming up but have decided I can not afford it right now. Maybe the "Gods" heard me or something because of all times to visit Florida, I would have been very dissapointed if I had no sun and had to put up with wind and rain which is supossedly what is starting to happen down there.
Tropical storm "Alberto"...the first storm of the season down there is coming close to turning into a hurricane. Though the thought of living through a hurricane like the one that battled New Orleans sounds kind of exciting to me....I can think of better ways to spend a vacation.
I hope this first storm of the season passes my friends and family by quickly and without any damage to their personal property.
I still plan on taking a trip down there.
Maybe this summer later or on or perhaps when it starts getting a bit cooler in the fall.
