So.... following is the Associated Press version of the "Timeline of Events" leading to the Ports Deal with the UAE Based Company referred to as "DP World".

I am still seeing it as very strange that no where in the timeline is there even a mention of the "Senior Executive" of this company (Mr. David Sanborn) being nominated by President Bush to be our "Federal Maritime Administrator" of the U.S. Port infastructure.
A link to one of the Maritime Administration Web Pages with information on what this position is responsible for as well as some links to various officials in this part of the Federal Government:
I thought for sure I would see this "connection" mentioned in the the following time line....but alas...I did not see one single mention.

And now, according to new news articles that I have read today, the U.S. Coast Guard has admitted to the press that it also has had reservations about links to "terrorism threats" based on it's overview of this company.

What is going on here?
I repeat the title of one of my previous posts on this blog....
"What is the meaning of Duh"????

Click on link below for the timeline of events according to the Associated Press.
(And add in there between Jan 17 and Feb 11 the nomintation of David Sanborn (by Bush) to the position of Federal Maritime Administrator of our U.S. Ports).....
JS Online: News:

I think I will try bringing this all together with a post entitled "Connect the Dots" in the near future. But I want to do some more digging so I can make sure I have all of my facts right.
There are a few more interesting bloggers I want to check out that I have heard about the last few days.
Stay tuned for more as I find things that seem to be amiss in regard to this deal.....
