The latest from the Bush Administration...
Things aren't too good in Washingtion these days.
-First there is an historic LOW presidential approval rating (low 30 percentile or something I hear).
-Then of course as I already have blogged about, there is my buddy Feingold's motion of a "Censure" to slap King George's hands for misbehaving and spying on his constituents.
-Next up, which I mentioned yesterday, a whopping $3 trillion budget for 2007...actually $2.8 trillion (which isnt that far off from "three"). What's .2 anyway in the scheme of things??
-And then talk that his friends (the Coalition) are going to begin massive troop reductions in Iraq
-And of course the country that we went over seas to "stabilize", now currently being on the verge of disintegrating from the inside with talk of an all out "Civil War" with the different factions being so far apart that "Iran" could easily take over this hell hole and no one would be the wiser.
So create a "smoke screen" of sorts and start something that will take the heat off of all of the above.
I can just hear the talk inside the "egg shaped" office in the District of Columbia...
"Why don't we create a military event, somewhat akin to the "shock and awe" camping that we did at the start of all of this?"
"Hmm...not a bad idea. The media is already afraid of being censored due to my threats of leaks and negative reporting...so ya......lets get a few reporters, some good pictures, a little video footage, make some noises over there....."
"Ya, this should quiet all the dissention.....at least until Condi does something real stupid to bring attention to our little gang."
And so this is how I imagine something like this could possibly go down. I am not the only person thinking this.
Read on for what Time Magazine is reporting from the "front lines of war"....

And a little ditty on "Prince Dick" or as I like to call him...Darth Vader....as in Dick Cheney, our current vice president. Read the Wikipedia reference to him and take a close look at his comments on Iraq and how he says one thing in the early 90s and goes on to say the complete opposite years later.
(One comment in particular was where he says ""We also have to work, though, sort of the darkside, if you will." I had to laugh after reading that and imagine him saying that as he is breathing through his black mask):
