Pirates on the High Seas in the 21st Century

Reading this story one would think that we are still in the 18th Century. Goodness Gracious it is like a real life "Pirates of the Carribian".....I would hope that with all the might the world governments have that hijackings such as this would not be happening. Reading stories like this it makes me realise how very brutal this world still is....even in the 21st century.
