"Let's Roll"....
I knew it was only a matter of time before someone (in this case Universal) had the guts to recreate part of what happened on September 11, 2001 via a major motion picture.
The movie is to be called "United 93" and the trailer is availbable for viewing on CNN under "todays news of April 4, 06". I am trying to link to the CNN Video and with luck I will have the link up here shortly.
(Update... I have the link to the trailer as CNN is showing it on their web site! Click below to watch the CNN video. Broadband internet access is best for viewing. It still may take a few minutes to load...it is a 7 minute plus piece).
See trailer of first 9/11 movie -- is it too soon?
And for another trailer and teasers and the some more background on this soon to be released picture, go to Apple and Univeral's site: It has movie stills, full synopsis and movie info.

The trailer is exciting (at least to me and I can't wait to see the whole thing) and part of the video piece that CNN is doing as part of this, is interviewing Mary Bingham, who's son Mark was one of the men who supossedly helped overtake the aircraft and helped to crash it into a field in Pennsilvanya on that fateful day. There are also interviews that CNN reporters did with people on the streets, showing them clips of the trailer, and then asking them how they felt about such a movie being made. A lot of them are saying that they won't watch it or that it is too early for something like this to be undertaken.
I wholeheartedly disagree. I think things like this need to be dramatised and for a reason. So we do not forget what our wonderful administration on September 11, 2001 let happen to almost 3000 people.
Oliver Stone is also putting the finishing touches on his masterpiece which is to be called "World Trade Center" and is supossed to be coming out into theatres in August of this year. More on that movie in another post.
Enjoy the above links....
A Happy tuesday to all.
