Milwaukee County Happenings: King Lee Holloway Calling the "Kettle Black"??

So His Royal Highness, The County Board Asshole (I mean Chairman) Lee Holloway is comparing Scott Walker to David Duke..
And he says Walker is Racist? That is like the pot calling the kettle black.

This guy (Holloway) has got to go.
I dont know how the rest of the county board or the executives in Walker's cabinet put up with this guy. Everytime I read an article about the county board or the budget or Scott Walker and Holloway has anything to do with it, I start to cringe at his one sideness and his inability to see the big picture.

His entire persona smacks of racism, a self serving attitude and utter disrespect for his colleauges in the courthouse (I know 1st hand as I have friends who work closely with him) and I would be glad to see his "lordship" come to an end.

Maybe someone (I dont have time) should start a "recall" process on this idiot!!

And as Lee says: "through my "spokesman"...I wont aopolagize and I wont comment further on the matter"

Harley's CEO-Another Big Reason "Why we are in a Recession"

His name is James Ziemer and though his companie's stock fell 62% in 2008, his pay rose about 26%. Add to that he is paid almost $1 Million Dollars a year......while the company that he oversees just laid off hundreds and hundreds of people.

I for one will never buy a motorcycle from a company who treats it's rank and file employees like this while giving their CEO a huge pay raise and paying him an insane salary...more so because of what is going on with the economy right now and with the world.

This, to me, is one of the reasons we are in such a mess. High paid executives who keep getting more pay even though their companies are loosing money and shedding hardworking employees.

Hyatt's Polaris restaurant to turn its last revolution in April

This was the 1st restaurant I went to as and adult when I came to Milwaukee for Summerfest back in the early eighties.

Anyone remember "Pieces of 8"?? That was another favorite that is now something else but in the same place along the lake.

Memories......

The article as posted online today that talks about the final days of this landmark restaurant:

By Carol Deptolla of the Journal Sentinal

Polaris, the revolving rooftop restaurant at the Hyatt Regency Milwaukee, will close after serving Easter brunch on April 12.

The 20th-floor restaurant will be used for private functions, said Gerald Rappaport, general manager of the downtown Hyatt.

As part of a $19 million renovation project at the hotel, a new restaurant, Bistro 333, will open in May on the lobby level, in the Knuckles Sports Bar space.

Polaris, which opened in 1981, offers diners a 360-degree view of the city. It takes around an hour for the slowly turning restaurant to come full circle.

The Hyatt will conduct a "Remembering Polaris" contest, collecting Milwaukeeans' stories and photos of dining in the city's tallest restaurant. The diner with the most romantic memory will win a one-night stay in a renovated suite, along with dinner for two and tickets to a show. The deadline is April 10, and submissions can be e-mailed to george.herrera@hyatt.com or mailed to the Hyatt at 333 W. Kilbourn Ave., Milwaukee, WI 53203.

As part of the farewell, Polaris will give every diner who mentions the Remembering Polaris contest a free glass of champagne.

The restaurant will remain open daily through April 12.

UFO in Waukesha Sky?

When I was about 12 years old, I just happened to look out my bedroom window one night around 1030pm and I saw pretty much the exact thing that is described in the following news account from the Milwaukee area last night. I often wonder what exactly it was that I saw that night so long ago.

I still think it was an alien spacecraft....and I am sure the people that saw the light show last night probably are thinking the same thing......
